May is zombie awareness month! Supporters of this cause wear the gray ribbon, signifying their diligence in preparing for the coming apocalypse and their willingness to serve as a bulwark of defense against the things that bump in the night. In honor of this noble cause, I bring you five fun items any zombie enthusiast would delight to own.

  • The Remote Control Zombie:
Have you ever wanted to own a pet zombie? One that would shamble around on command? Now you can with this remote control zombie. You literally hold its brain your hand, so feel free to turn the undead loose. Just be sure to keep your new pet happy by feeding it people that annoy you on a regular basis.
  • The Zombie Shadow Cast:
Ever felt the need to cast spooky shambling shadows on your wall? Now you can with the zombie shadow cast. Simply insert a candle, light it, dim the lights, and voila, instant shambling zombies to keep you company throughout the night!
  • Zombie Blood:
Never before has the phrase "better through science" been more appropriate. Thanks to late night research, a group of scientists have discovered that the virus that creates zombies also gives them the ability to never tire in their pursuit of food. That same reserve of energy is granted to any human imbiber of zombie blood, which apparently tastes like lime.
  • The Zombie Bait Station:
For those of us who are inclined to toss our friends to the zombies if it would ensure a safe getaway, the armament experts at In Case of Zombies have provided with a more humane option in the zombie bait station. Each station contains half a brain and an IV bag of blood, perfect tools to set up an ambush on the undead. It might be best to include a few of these in your collection of supplies. Your friends will certainly thank you.
  • The Zombie Survival Guide:
As any survivalist can attest, lack of preparation is the fastest way to join the ranks of the undead. The Zombie Survival Guide is a must for any person preparing for the zombie apocalypse. The material within the guide covers everything from tactics and weaponry to the importance of terrain and the essentials of any survival kit. No person preparing for the zombie invasion should be without this book.
